What I Have Learned

Here are a few of my favorite thoughts on what I have learned:

I've learned ... that it's not what happens to people that's important. It's what they do about it.
I've learned ... that it's taking me a long time to become the person I want to be.
I've learned ... that it's a lot easier to react than it is to think.
I've learned ... that either you control your attitude or it controls you.
I've learned ... that our background and circumstances may have influenced who we are, but we are responsible for who we become.

Please make sure you are registered to vote. If you have moved, you need to update your voter registration as well. The last day to register before the Nov 4th election is Friday Oct 10th (my daughter Rachel's 11th birthday). So please make sure you are registered. I do not have to say how important this election is, everyone already knows! As you can see below, I have taken the liberty to post my preference on this blog. I hope no one is offended.

The Tulsa Run is Oct 25th and all are encouraged to be a part of the Friendship Team. Penny says our class has an activity that same night and there are more details to come. The last time I checked the list, over 50 people had signed up.
